The name’s Clover. Grant Clover. *classic spy movie soundtrack roars*
Storytelling is everything for me. I like making words sing, and my mind is a 24/7 Italian opera – petty, bedazzled queen in the audience included.
I am a writer, filmmaker, copywriter, story analyst, and an all-around storyteller. I wrote/directed/produced the short film, I Walk With Ghosts, which went on to play at over 80 festivals (including NFFTY) and won over 65 awards. My next short film, Portrait of a Smile, is coming soon. I’m also the author of three unpublished books and hundreds of poems and songs.
Thanks for stopping by. Check out some Witty Fingers ridiculous blog posts, some hearty and fantastical movie reviews, and some unexpectedly wordy short stories.
Or make your storytelling dreams come true and check out my services – from copywriting to story analyzing to filmmaking/screenwriting. Make your words breathe fire and your story blare loud.
Why I Am the Way I Am
Books
I read. A lot. Probably more than is healthy. Reading has long enchanted me since I was a kid, and my obsession with it led to my eventual turn to writing. I love classics and modern literary works like The Goldfinch and All The Light We Cannot See. You can find me on Goodreads if you’re interested in following what I read and review.
Movies
I’m an avid film buff. If your name happens to be Criterion, stay 6 feet away or I may pounce on you. I’ve lost myself down the infinite rabbit hole of film history, facts, movements, and techniques – there is no escape or end to this whirlpool journey. I write a lot of movie reviews on Letterboxd as well.
Music
Music is a hobby of mine. I play piano, sing, and write lyrics and instrumental pieces. If you happen to own a recording studio, let’s make music and become famous. It sounds like fun.
