About Me

The name’s Clover. Grant Clover. *classic spy movie soundtrack roars*

I write for a living. Not monetarily as much as to literally keep myself alive. It is a catharsis of sorts, a pathway of contemplation, a source of entertainment, and a fiercely pursued hobby of mine.

I am the author of two unpublished books, hundreds of poems, half a thousand songs, and the reader of millions of novels. Hopefully sooner or later, I will be published. *sends a meaningful look at all searching agents and publishing companies* But until then, I will keep on writing and studying this beautiful and chaotic world that we live in.

What I do

Books

I read. A lot. Reading has long enchanted me since I was a kid, and my obsession with it led to my eventual turn to writing. I love classics and also deep modern literary works like The Goldfinch and All The Light We Cannot See. You can find me on Goodreads if you’re interested in following what I read and review.

Movies

Maybe naturally, I’m also an avid film buff. Since movies are basically 3D books, they give stories a chance to expand visually as well as plot-wise. This has led to some self-study I’ve done on film history and styles and techniques, as well as to much movie-watching and -analyzing. I write a lot of movie reviews on a site called Letterboxd as well.

Music

I’m a pianist and a singer as well as a listener of about every music genre. Though, orchestral and acoustic are my go-to. Over the years, I’ve done some songwriting, which I keep to myself mostly. One day I might record if I write a world-changing song, but so far I’ve only written moon-changing songs.
